Leveraging Nextivity proprietary IntelliBoost technology, SHIELD brings the industry-leading features and capabilities found in the Nextivity SHIELD EXTEND public safety DAS to the low-power ERCES market. With so much advanced technology packed into a single-box solution, SHIELD gives business owners the fastest pathway to getting an ERCES installed.
Nextivity proprietary IntelliBoost technology inside SHIELD public safety solutions enables them to automate system parameters — something no other ERCES can do. By automatically calculating and setting system parameters, SHIELD allows installers to install an ERCES faster and with more confidence it will pass the first AHJ inspection than with other solutions.
Class A or Class B Code Compliant 0.5W ERCES Public Safety BDA
The SHIELD SOLO sets a new benchmark for low-power emergency responder communication enhancement systems (ERCES). Combining uncompromising performance with industry-leading ease of installation, speed of deployment, and remote system monitoring and management capabilities, SHIELD SOLO ensures reliable connectivity for emergency personnel and allows building owners to receive their certificates of occupancy (CoO) faster than with any other solution in its class.
The core of the system, SHIELD SOLO is a bi-directional amplifier (BDA) that accepts LMR donor signals and distributes the signals to antennas throughout the building. The system is ideal for buildings in jurisdictions that require code compliant public safety communication solutions, including offices, schools, warehouses, and more.
The SHIELD BBU provides constant direct current and battery charging capabilities for SHIELD SOLO systems, which allows the solution to maintain peak operation for up to 12 during power outages.
Keeps SHIELD SOLO and system accessories operational for up to 12 hours in the event of a power failure
Supports 80Ah / 12V lead-acid batteries
Two alarm ports for BBU monitoring.
The CEL-FI Wideband Directional Antenna is an outdoor vertically polarized directional antenna; with 10dB gain in the low bands and 11dB gain in the high bands. The weather resistant housing is built with UV stabilized ABS plastic. Optimized for Cel‑Fi products, the CEL-FI Wideband Directional Antenna can be used with the CEL-FI WAVE Antenna positioning app. The unit includes standard brackets for mounting, and can also be used with the Cel‑Fi Pole Mount. A 10K ohm resistor is part of the antenna, for use with Nextivity Antenna Monitoring System

Class A or Class B Integrated Public Safety DAS for LMR and FirstNet
A code compliant ERCES, SHIELD EXTEND offers building owners the fastest pathway to receiving their certificate of occupancy (CoO). The system combines industry-leading ease of installation, performance, and scalability with unmatched remote system monitoring and management to ensure reliable LMR and FirstNet connectivity indoors.
The management Unit (MU) is the central point of the system. In addition to accepting and distributing power from the SHIELD EXTEND Battery Backup Unit (BBU), the MU controls and monitors all system components, including the Network Unit (NU), Coverage Unit (CU), and accessory components. System performance analytics are available in the Nextivity WAVE Portal or WAVE PRO app
The CUs rebroadcast LMR and FirstNet donor signals to local service antennas throughout the facility. They are self-configuring and self-optimizing, enabling faster system deployment and certification.
Ideal for campuses, multi-building facilities, and high-rises, the SHIELD EXTEND Fiber Range Extenders (FRE) increase the distance between the SHIELD EXTEND NU and CU up to nearly one mile. In addition to supporting copper cable to power up CUs remotely, FREs work in pairs and are sold as a kit that includes two units—one NU side and one CU side—with each pair supporting up to two CUs.
With its two donor ports, the NU processes and digitizes the off-air LMR and FirstNet donor signals and distributes those signals to the CUs. Each NU can support and power up to six CUs via PoE.
The Battery Backup Unit (BBU) provides constant direct current and battery charging capabilities for SHIELD EXTEND systems. In the event of a power failure, the BBU allows SHIELD EXTEND to maintain peak operation for up to 12 hours. In addition to being NEMA 4 rated and listed to UL 2524, the BBU supports four 12-volt lead-acid batteries and includes accessories for wall mounting and cabling for connecting to the MU.

The Remote Annunciator Panel (RA) provides automatic supervisory signals for malfunctions of SHIELD EXTEND solutions.
The Emergency Power-Off Switch (EPO) instantaneously shuts down a SHIELD EXTEND system from a single point, eliminating the risk of combustion caused by electricity or static.
The Guardian QR700 is a Public Safety Band signal booster that amplifies 700 MHz in Canada for crucial communications, delivering consistent signal for First Responders inside buildings with weak signal strength.=
TowerIQ’s Guardian QR700 Canada Public Safety Band signal booster enhances in-building coverage for crucial communications, delivering consistent signal for First Responders and other public safety officials who rely on twoway radio communication inside large buildings. The QR700 is a Bi-Directional Amplifier that services the growing Public Safety 700 MHz bands for Canada. The Guardian QR700 meets Chapter 24 of NFPA 72 standards, improving weak First Responder signals for critical and non-critical areas within the building
In the majority of cases, newly constructed buildings with considerable size, or existing buildings that increase capacity by expanding the building footprint are required to have signal strength of -95 dBm or better in designated critical areas – elevators, stairwells, etc. – in order to receive a certificate of occupancy. Guardian QR700 meets the code for NFPA 72 and features a NEMA-4 rated amplifier housing. Additionally, the QR700 comes equipped with dry contact 7-pin alarming compatibility, UPS and Ethernet port enabled remote monitoring. TowerIQ provides an industry leading 3-year warranty
